COLIN DEVLIN WINS DISTRICT TITLE TO ADVANCE TO AAA SOUTHEASTERN REGIONALS BEING HELD ON MARCH 4 AND MARCH 5 AT SOUDERTON HIGH SCHOOL. THE TOP 4 ADVANCE TO THE STATE TOURNAMENT
Congradulations to Sandy Run Wrestlers Brett Rama (3rd) and Griffin Johnson (4th) in the Middle School Championships.
The Cardinals wrestled in the SOL American League Championship on Saturday Feb 20 and adavnced 5 of it's wrestlers to the District One Central Tournament this Satuday starting at 9 AM at Oxford High School. Leasding the Cardinal were Colin Devlin (138) and Mason Novak (152) both winning Championships. Talib Davis (126) and Henry Winebrake (195) finished in 2nd place and Josh Kelcy (145) took 3rd.

August Gershwin was voted the outstanding wrestler and Plymouth Whitemarsh captured the Team Title.
The Cardinals finished up there regular season at the Interboro Invitational and crowded two Champions Colin Devlin (145) also the Outstanding Wrestler and Henry Winebrake (195). Post season will start on Saturday Feb. 20th with the SOL American League tournament at Norristown HS action starts at 9:00 AM ands the top 4 in each weight classs advance to the District Central tournament on Saturday Feb. 27 to be held at Oxford HS
Colin Devlin getting OW Award
Feb 3 was Senior Night at UD as we played host to Norristown who beat us 61-15. Leading the Cardinals were Colin Devlin (138) with a fall, Mason Novak (152) with a decision and Henry Winebrake (220) with a fall.
Talib Davis moved into 2nd place in the Most Takedown Leaderboard picking up his 52 of the year.
Cardinals will be back in Action next Wednesday Feb 3 at Home against Norristown to celebrate Senior Night then next weekend Friday and Saturday host the District Duals Finals and wrap up the week supporting the Upper Dublin Youth Wrestling Association who will be hosting the Super Brawl on Sunday.

The Cardinals won a great match last night at Wissahickon with a 39-34 Victory to maintain the Fireside Cup for another year. Leading the way for UD were Talib Davis (126), Kincade Thomas (132), Colin Devlin (138), Henry Winebrake (220) and Macro Leone (285) all with pins. Also picking up wins were Mason Novak (152), Luis Lozada (160) and Kevin Chung (170). The match with Archbishop Wood has been postponed and will be scheduled later this season.
This past week was an up and down week for the Cardinals on Wednesday the Cardinals defeated Upper Merion 52-24 and leading the way were John Palmer (106), Colin Devlin (138), Luis Lozada (160) all reorded falls. Henry Winebrake won with a Tech Fall.
On Thursday Upper Dublin wrestled a very tough Neshaminy team and fell to the Redskins 51-12. Pick up points for the Cardinals were Talib Davis (126), Colin Devlin (138) and Rocco DeSimone (182).
Upper Dublin lost 42-24 to Plymouth Whitemarsh in an American Conference battle on Wednesday Jan. 13. The Cardinals did not wrestle up to there standards and lose some key matchups. UD did have some bright spots as Colin Devlin (138) and Henry Winebrake (195) both picked up 1st period falls. Alex Bonczkiewicz (120), Talib Davis (126), Kincade Thomas (132) and Mason Novak (152) all won be decisions.
On Saturday Jan 9 the Cardinals wrestled in the Lion Duals at Academy of the New Church and were 4-1 on the day and finished is a first place tie but placed second based on criteria. In Round One Northeast slipped by the Cardinals 36-34. Round Two the Cardinals beat Lower Moreland 42-27 and rolled over William Penn Charter 43-30 in the Round Three. Next up was Abington in Round Four and UD won that one 42-34 and finished the day with a 42-25 victory in Round 5 over Academy of the New Church.
Leading the Cardinals were Colin Devlin (138), Henry Winebrake (195) and Kevin Chung (170) all 5-0. John Palmer (106) was 4-0 and Talib Davis (126) was 4-1.
The Cardinals lost a very close match against Upper Moreland losing 39-36. Leading UD was Alex Bonczkiewicz (120), Talib Davis (126) aand Mason Novak (152) all winning with falls.
The Cardinals finished 3-2 at the Delco Duals on Tuesday Dec. 29. UD was missing a few starters but wrestled well the entire day. Results

Mason Novak (152/160) and Marco Leone (285) were both 4-1.
Upper Dublin rolled to a 63-15 Victory over Cheltenham on Wednesday Dec 23. Leading the way for the Cardinals were Alex Bonczkiewicz (120) fall at 5:07, Jason Concannon (132) fall at 1:57, Mason Novak (152) fall at 1:19, Josh Kelcy (160) fall at 2:44, Luis Lozada (170) fall at 5:55, Kevin Chung (182) fall at 3:21 and Rocco DeSimone (195) fall at 3:22. Also Marco Leone (285) won a decision and Brian Concannon (106), Kyle Ropski (113) and Talib Davis (126) all received forfeits.
The Junior Varsity wrestled in the Falcon Holiday Tournament at Pennsbury HS. Rocco DeSimone (182) finished in 2nd and Josh Kelcy (160) took 3rd and had 4 pins on the day.
The Cardinals opened the League Season on Dec. 16 with a 57-18 victory over Springfield Township. The Cardinals gave up two forfeits and only lost one match. leading the way for the Cardinals were Colin Devlin (152) fall at 0:48 and also picking up falls were Alex Bonczkiewicz (120), Talib Davis (126), Kincaid Thomas (138), Luis Lozada (170), Kevin Chung (182) and AJ Bailey (220). Picking up decisions were Kyle Ropski (113), Jason Concannon (132), Jeff Hirsch (145) and Mason Novak (160).

Upper Dublin finished in 5th place on Saturday Dec 12 at the Travis Manion Tournament at LaSalle College High
Talib Davis (126) and Colin Devlin (145) captured championship. Luis Lozado (160) and Rocco DeSimone (182) placed 2nd and Kyle Ropski (113), Mason Novak (152) and Kevin Chung (170) all took 4th.
The Cardinals finished in 5th place at the New Hope Solebury Tournament leading the way was Colin Devlin (145) and Mason Novak (152) both picking up Championships. Colin was also named the Outstanding Wrestler. Alex Bonczkiewicz (120) was 2nd, Talib Davis (126) and Kevin Chung (170) were 3rd.
